Portofino

The abc Portofino lateral arm awning is an addition to abc's product portfolio. The Portofino is a great value for those who are looking for a very stylish and robust lateral arm awning. The desing and finish of all components produce an awning with extrememely clean lines.

This system utilizes the Italian BAT lateral arms. These arms have significantly more spring tension in the longer projections. Like the Deluxe the arms have a variable pitch adjustment incorporated to the forearm with durable and strong stainless steel chain. The arms have been tested and certified by TUV European Product Safey Institute to operate without failure over 3,000 cycles.

We have extruded an optional heavy guage one piece aluminum hood that protect the awning's fabric and running gear and adds to the stylish lines of the awning.

The awning utilizes a strong heavy guage 40 mm torsion bar that is attached to the structure with extruded aluminum wall brackets.

The extruded front bar has clean lines and we have incorporated a rain channel to prvent runoff from the front of the awning and avoid soiling of the valance.

We utilize the same care in manufacturing the awning cover as we do with the Deluxe including sewing with Gore-Tex thread and application of the braid to the valance.

Geiger bevel gears operate the crank operated systems. Optional Somfy 500 and 600 series motors can be added to the system which can be controlled by switch or by remote control or through various automated controls.

The roller tube, torsion bar, front bar, wall and hood brackets and shafts are all made of extruded high quality aluminum; exposed surfaces are powder coated.

All hardware is available in White and Ivory.
